Scope and content

The collection includes a range of student newspapers from different universities from the late 1970s to early 1980s. Forbes was involved as contributor and part of the editorial teams for these newspapers. These materials are listed in section A of the inventory.

Forbes also donated a significant number of 1994 elections posters (mostly posterboards) to the archive. These materials are described in section B of the inventory. The posters are incorporated into the SAHA Poster collection (AL2446).

Forbes and SAHA also requested documents through a Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) request in conjunction with SAHA for the making of his documentary on the Cradock Four - these documents are included in the Freedom of Information Programme (FOIP) collection (AL2878) at SAHA.
