Tutu, taught for 41 years but doesn't get a pension; 13/03/1964 letter from Ruth Slovo (First) asking Helen Suzman to assist her mother Tilly (Mathilda) First to get a passport: this letter was written the day before she left SA on an exit permit and in it she says: "I should have written to you a long while ago to say that no one could have done a better job against the 90 day detentions and I admire tremendously your sledge-hammer attack on this and so many other vital issues. In the House at least you have to fight almost single-handed and, apart from the scandal that the real anti-Nationalist fight has been whittled down to the efforts of one intrepid member, you seem to get in as many blows as any team could manage."; 12/03/1964 Helen Suzman requests Minister of Justice, Vorster, to allow Toni Bernstein to visit her father(Rivonia trialist Rusty Bernstein) in jail; man classified "Bantu" trying to persuade authorities that his birth certificate says "Coloured" but can't get a copy of it; 01/04/1964 re Gabula Mahlasela detained under 90-day legislation; February-April 1964 concerning the Kraaifontein Rehabilitation Centre; 24/04/1964 letters concerning 2 banned persons — Wilfred Cecil Joseph Brutus and W.T.
