The collection of Dr Ronald Edwin Press includes an Autobiography, a multimedia CD, photographs and various reliquaries of the South African anti-Apartheid struggle.

The collection was compiled by Dr. Ronald Edwin Press, (Ron Press), during his recent years of retirement. It reflects on his lifelong involvement in the Union movement of South Africa, the 1956 Treason Trial, banning, exile and subsequent activities as a technician of the ANC underground struggle, in various operations, including Operation Vula.

Centre for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation (CSVR) records

The Historical Papers Archive received the records of the CSVR in 2007, representing the work of the CSVR through its projects and programmes. It should be noted, that the material received is quite patchy and does not cover the full extent of the work done in the various Units and of all the projects and programmes of the CSVR exhaustively, gaps will have to be filled through subsequent archival deposits. Also, reference is made to the CSVR's TRC collection in an earlier collection received by SAHA, collection number AL3110.

It has been microfilmed for the Cooperative Africana Microform Project by OCLC Preservation Resources, c2006. Included are political cartoons, newspaper articles, parliamentary records, Auditor-General reports, Public protector reports, commissions of inquiry, investigative reports, interviews, conference proceedings, policy documents, survey material, journal articles, court records and court testimony.
