Community Leadership and Power in Natal, Report

The research project relates to the life history of Mr Henry Caleb Sibisi, and was conducted by Iain Edwards, with the assistance of Mr C. Ndlovu.
It covers Sibisi's life, as an Adams College educated agricultural demonstrator; his participation in the politics of Cleremont, where he becomes the first unofficial and self-styled mayor; his involvement in the New Africa movements; and in the restarting of the Inkatha movement in the late 1950s.
