There are minutes, directors reports, notices to shareholders, balance-sheets and accounts, correspondence, memoranda, plans and annual publications relating to the Boshoff Group. In addition there are records pertaining to various mines and investment companies.

The columns cover various topics about political challenges, events that occurred for each specific time of the month. Some of the columns might consist of spelling and grammar errors as the collection has to be treated as written diaries for authenticity purposes. In this regard, the search term(s) might not be retrieved due to the misspelling of a Persons name, City/Town, Province and/ or Country.

The sketch book includes drawings of the Malays of Cape Town, Khoisan of Algoa Bay and Swellendam, Fingoes of Algoa Bay and Zulus of Natal. Also scenes such as an ox wagon on trek; Wynberg Church and the Botanical Garden, 1852; Umlass Lake, Natal; cartoons of M. Jourdan of Mauritius, 1868 and a flower painting of sparaxis.

The Commission of Inquiry was set up on the 11 February 1980, following the revelation that the former Deputy Director of the IUEF, Craig Williamson, was a member of the South African Security Police.

The compilation contains a list of persons which were held in custody or listed as members of subversive organisations in terms of the Act on Terrorism, Section 6 and 29. Some of the listed persons were charged and tried.

Kept by Sophy Gray, the wife of Robert Gray, first Bishop of Cape Town, this volume contains the chronicle of the Province, together with an index. The entries were done in fine calligraphy.

Hitsquads. Testimony of a South African Security Policeman: the full story, by Dirk Coetzee

The testimony was written by Dirk Coetzee in exile, at the ANC Headquarters in Lusaka and in London, with the help of his brother Ben Coetzee. The main body was completed in 1990, and was spell checked and reprinted by Ben Coetzee in 1994.

Dirk Coetzee's testimony would also form part of the submissions to the Harms Commission of Inquiry, which he gave in London.

The collection contains the photographic work of the South African photographer Ernest Cole, some of which culminated in the iconic book "House of Bondage", published in 1967. Also included are his notes, correspondence and research material, as well as his photographic work which he continued in the USA.
