Research materials collected by Baneshik with a view to a historical book on KW Von Veltheim, a German adventurer who was tried for the murder of Woolf Joel in 1898 and deported, returning to South Africa later to search for the Kruger Millions which he claimed to have helped to bury. He was again deported and died in Hamburg in 1930.
Research materials include press cuttings (some of the 1898 trial and others); photographs, letters written by Baneshik to various archives and individuals, with replies, and articles on Von Veltheim Correspondence is mainly dated 1966.
