In this matter the clients were part of the large Allie family whose grandfather in the 1920s had been a well-known farmer and entrepreneur in the Constantia Valley. Due to racially based legislation he and his offspring had been forced to sell the property that he owned. The family wished to reclaim this land. The matter was investigated and then handed over to private attorneys to pursue.

The clients in this case were residents of Prins Albert Township. When they protested against the nepotism of the Management Committee, in that a house had been wrongfully allocated to the girlfriend of the Secretary, they were charged with trespassing. The LRC defended them in the public interest and to expose the nepotism of the Management Committee. The clients had to pay admission of guilt fines, bar one who was convicted and cautioned.
