The material covers the establishment of the homelands and internal and external opposition to the forced inclusion of thousands of blacks in the enforcement of the policy of apartheid or separate development.

Most were published in the 1980s and subjects include the displacement of individual communities such as Roosboom and the Weenen farm evictions. Werksgroep Kairos campaign material focuses on forced removals in South Africa, in co-operation with ten church organisations.
