Watercolour of St Cuthbert's Mission Tsolo, Transkei
Painted by Miss Tillard, a missionary working at St Cuthbert's.
The picture was presented to Mr Walter Carmichael, resident magistrate of Tsolo from 1916-1923, when he left Tsolo. Subsequently presented to the Church of the Province of South Africa Records Library, University of the Witwatersrand, by his son Canon MJD Carmichael.
With autograph by the artist Walter Battiss.
With inscription on the reverse side, probably having visited Grace Dieu, saying "In memory of one of our happiest holidays. Grace and Walter. June 1942
