The committee seems to have been largely run, in Johannesburg, by Helen Joseph; includes copy of pamphlet entitled Forgotten Men which includes information about the banishment of the Matlalas, and information on the work of the Human Rights Welfare Committee, possibly a draft; 17-page report on the legislative background to internal deportation of black people as well as their conditions of life in 1962, prepared by Helen Joseph; 23-page speech entitled The Banishment of Africans, covering amongst other things, the Matlalas, Witzieshoek, Mabieskraal, conditions at places of banishment, appeal fpr finanacial and material support ofr the banished and their families.
