The respondents were appealing against the applicants' decision to set aside a part of the TAC (Total Allowable Catch). The respondents felt that the second applicant did not know what he was doing. The application was dismissed with costs including those of two counsel.

This is a leave to appeal application by the respondent against the applicants' decision. The respondent launched a proceeding in the Cape High Court seeking the decision of the applicants be reviewed and set aside. The application was successful and the court granted leave to appeal.

The case concerned the detention of Sithole, aged 14, in Johannesburg prison, not a place of safety.

Case concerns intestate estates of black people; it was contended that black women and children (except the oldest son of deceased) are discriminated against in customary law.

The applicant was seeking relief against the law that governed the carrying of traditional weapons in public. The law that regulates carrying of traditional weapons in public was declared void and the respondent was directed to pay the costs of the application and those of two counsel.

This is an appeal against an order of the Pretoria High Court. An article was published in a newspaper stating that he was gathering support to seek manslaughter charges against the Minister of Health and a disciplinary action was taken against him. The appeal succeeded.

The applicants were applying for the reinstatement of the second applicant to effect payment of all wages and benefits from the date of his purported dismissal until the date of his reinstatement. The applicants are the trade union and its member, who was dismissed from work for not wanting to be re - tested at the Municipality. The application was declined.
