Copy of a letter written by Ilich Ramirez Sanchez (often referred to as 'Carlos the Jackal') to Nelson Mandela, providing information about Henry Bona, who travelled under the name of Robin Gregson. In the letter he offered to provide a sworn testimony for the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC). Written from a French prison, where he is serving a life sentence.

To a large extent dealing with Emergency camps, such as Cato Manor, Moroka, Benoni, following removals.

The unit was primarily tasked in quelling township riots, and resorted under the command of the SADF's Natal Command. During the State of Emergency in the 1980s, this commando was tasked with protecting strategic facilities. S.B. Bourquin held the position of a Commandant at the Commando Group 10.
