Dr Anton Eberhardt, who [with] 800 others have signed the conscientious objector register refusing to serve in the SADF. Eberhardt was sentenced to 12 months in jail in 1977 for refusing to serve and faces another 18 Months. Cape Town South Africa, 21 September 1989.

Scene of election posters for the parliamentary by-election for the House of Delegates. A large number of helpers and high profile politicians and police presence, but very few voters. About 270 people arrived at the polls to cast their vote, with a further 1063 casting 'special' votes prior to election day - in all a 16% turnout.
