Publications and Research unit was established to produce the newsletter, and to give oversight to the Medu executive. In 1982, the P&R Unit reports included summaries of activities or work that should be completed by Publications and Research Unit in 1982, such as issuing of newsletters, and publishing of Mongane Serote's poetry book. In 1983 P & R was divided into the Naledi Writers Unit, which continued oversight of the newsletter and other matters around creative writing and articles; and a separate executive unit of Medu, consisting of elected official.

Minutes of Graphics Unit Meetings

These are minutes of meetings held by the Medu Graphics Unit between October 1982 and May 1984. The meetings included hard discussions about the racial composition of Medu, discussions of content of graphics and posters produced by Medu, and administration discussions over finances, projects, trips, training programmes and the structure of Medu.

There are two (duplicate) pamphlets that provide brief information advertising for both the Culture and Resistance Symposium and the Art Toward Social Development Exhibition. Included within the flyer is a schedule for the Culture and Resistance Symposium with the dates and main topics for each day, together with the registration form that had to be filled by all attendees. The exhibition is advertised as being comprehensive, dynamic and historic for people. The exhibition aimed at having open discussion with the artists about the direction of South African culture.
