The first issues, April 1937, introduced the magazine to cater for the educational needs of all races; subsequent issues in 1938 state "The first South African magazine for all Non-Europeans"
Relating to the recruitment of women under the leadership of Mrs Hartshorne and Miss Blue, and to the Morse training carried out by Mr Paff from the University staff.
