Ms Hilda Maseko, who was stabbed at the back the previous night, arrives at the casualty section of the clinic complaining of shortness of breath. Having examined Ms Maseko, Dr Gideon Frame explains that she will have to be admitted to Hospital. Ms Maseko agrees to be admitted to the 'whites only' Johannesburg Hospital as part of the Democratic Movement's national defiance campaign to resist apartheid laws.
