Consist mainly of notebooks embodying his researches in various fields, mainly history and theology and include 9 notebooks containing extracts from the House of Commons Debates for 1621. There are also letters of Bishop Talbot to his son, probably used by Brabant in the compilation of "N. S. Talbot 1879-1943: a memoir",published in 1949. The papers were donated by the Rev. Brabant just prior to his leaving Africa for retirement in England.
The Society of the Sacred Mission is a brotherhood devoting itself to education and mission work at Modderpoort in the Free State and Lesotho. It took over the mission in 1902 from the Brotherhood of St. Augustine at Modderpoort. The records include the constitution, history, minutes, correspondence and general records relating to the Society of the Sacred Mission.
Contains records relating to St. peter's College from its origins in Rosettenville and during its subsequent moves to Alice, when it became a constituent College of the Federal Theological Seminary, to St. Bede's in the then Transkei and finally to Imbali near Pietermaritzburg.
