Letters and memoranda consisting of reports re the increase of Islam in South Africa, particularly in the Cape the anti-Christians propaganda being spread among non-Muslims, the lapsing of Christians, often due to sin, intermarriage and extreme poverty. The Mission to Muslims was founded in 1848 by Bishop Gray and the missions work is to convert Moslems to Christianity, and the Christian response to the situation.
