Scope and content
"The war in South Africa". Corrected galley and page proofs.
It is believed that these proofs are the result of Col. G.F.R. Henderson's work on a book of the first British official history of the South African War (1899-1902), for which he was appointed in 1901. He died in early 1903 before completing the book. Henderson's work was never published, as the UK government at the time decided that his first draft chapters were too controversial to publish.
