The Wits Alumni office received this collection from Wits alumnus Michael Sutherland in 2013, and deposited it at the Historical Papers Research Archive.
Michael Sutherland also submitted a framed original photographs of the first graduation at Wits University in 1922, which is now housed at the Wits Alumni office. The photograph depicts Jan Hofmeyr, Sir William Dalrymple, HJ Hofmeyr, Jan Smuts, Prince Arthur of Connaught, Sir Robert Kotze and Dr Theodore Reunert.
