Management was responsible for policy formulation for the NZA and the approval or rejection of project proposals. The Board normally met on a monthly basis.

The NZA funded political parties in South Africa and occasionally other organisations. Documentation for each party contains project proposals, general correspondence about proposals, evaluations and reports detailing how funds wre spent. It should be noted that the Management Board of the NZA approved the projects. This information is in 11.1.1.5.1. and 11.1.1.5.2.

Documents

These relate to a range of actions around negotiations, anti-apartheid activities and international efforts to bring independence to Namibia. Letter, reports, statements, seminar and conference papers are arranged chronologically.

Delegations and representations

The churches were active in Namibia in making known the abuses against the Namibian people under occupation. The international and local church provided services such as medical services, education and support to the poor, refugees and those affected by military abuses. They co-operated with international church and other organisations and made representations to international organisations such as the UN for the granting of independence, the condemnation of human rights violations and the provision of aid.
