The NSP was a framework, developed under the auspices of SANAC, to guide the activities of all partners undertaking work relevant to HIV, sexually transmitted infections and tuberculosis in South Africa. It provided goals and strategies for response to the three diseases during the period 2012 to 2016. It informed the development of provincial and sector implementation plans.
