Collections of newspaper cutting, mainly from Cape Town based newspapers such as Cape Argus, The Cape Times, but also other newspapers, such as Die Burger, Rand Daily Mail, Sundays Express.

The collections housed at Historical Papers include diaries, letters, memoranda, reports, minute-books, press clippings, pamphlets, photographs, drawings, maps, oral interviews, trial transcripts and financial, legal and personal documents. They are contained in various formats such as paper based records, microfiche, microfilm, photographs, slides, negative and positive film, tapes, DVD and CDs, audiovisual formats and digital formats.

Medu newsletters were published by Publication and Research Unit within Medu Art Ensemble. Newsletters have illustrations by Medu members, other artists and Medu posters. There are various sections such poetry, art review, from the hotpot, short story and featured articles.

This section provides links to various other collections with holdings of physical and digital Afrapix images in various national and international institutions.

This section contains journal articles relating to Afrapix, which have been written by various authors about Afrapix. They were provided in digital format.

Afrapix produced a number of collective exhibitions in its 10 years of existence. Some of the key exhibitions were 'Cordoned Heart', 'Staffrider' annual exhibition, 'Crossroads', 'Taking Sides', 'Children's Exhibition' and 'Human Rights'.
Typically these exhibitions were shown at conferences, in community halls, and other events in order to raise awareness about the pressing issues of the time. Some also went overseas like 'Cordoned Heart' and 'Taking Sides' (which became 'Beyond the Barricades'). These exhibitions often were shown in main stream galleries, and 'Cordoned Heart' and 'Beyond the Barricades' were also published as books.
